Potential Problems When Using Multicultural Diverse Team...

What are some potential problems that must be overcome when using the multicultural diverse team in global organization? As for 2006 and above, there are many problems regarding multicultural diverse team in global organization. Ironically, Presidents and CEO of the organization are willing to talk about diversity when their managers do not have much confidence in implementing diversity workforce in an organization. Managers are afraid that they may fail in terms of productivity when multicultural diverse team is applied. The problems are: 1. Problem: A mere decrease in productivity The positive impact of multicultural diverse team is that the creativity can be increase compare to non-diversity team. Furthermore, diverse team†¦show more content†¦On the other hand, top management in an organization must be fully prepared to deal with cultural diversity. When the management are aware of cultural diversity in the organization, the managers are automatically become a very tolerance manager in handling multicultural diverse team in their organization 3. Problem: Communication Ineffective communication of key objectives results in confusion, lack of teamwork, and low morale. Furthermore, the information cannot be transfer effectively with each other. Multicultural teams are forced to communicate in a common language which made them not naturally communicate with teammates from other culture. This implies that there are members in the team for whom communicating language is not their mother tongue. This results in false information transfer which means it was understood differently. Solutions – To polish the communication skills for each team members, perceptual thoughts must be change. Besides, cultural barriers as well as language barriers must be overcome. 4. Problem: Lack of Cohesion Multicultural teams often have different views of the problem. Team members often go on debating about the problems statement.
